Aliko Dangote disclosed that his fertilizer plant which costs $2.5 billion will commence operation on the first week of April. This granulated fertilizer will help Nigeria economy attain surplus in food sufficiency and provides more jobs in Nigeria.
Aliko Dangote born on the 10th of April, 1957. He is a business Tycoon (Founder of Dangote group) and wealthiest man in Africa. His net worth as at 2020 was $13.5 billion.

Dangote’s multi-billion granulated fertilizer plant is located at Lekki Free Trade zone(LFTZ) and will resume operation from the first week of April. This granulated urea fertilizer plant is supposed to have started operation from next week. However, due to some reasons like access to forex, striving economy and Covid-19 pandemic the fertilizer plant will commence operation a bit late.
However, in order to facilitate the plant’s production process other plans have been made to expand its 3 million metric tonnes per annum. Its capacity will be upgraded so that it can produce multiple grades of fertilizers that will be compatible to any crop, soil and African climate.

However, there is an outstanding accumulated charges of about 42 billion naira which caused the intervention of the Federal Government at the weekend as stakeholders insisted that it’s better the issue get resolved now and have the CBN New USSD charge law implemented.
