In Nigeria, there are top 5 Most dangerous States well known to be a danger zone, In these states, several armed group terrorizing its citizen especially in the North-Eastern region of Nigeria.
The North-Eastern states and other states have been under attack by the Jihadist group called ‘Boko-Haram’, Fulani herdsmen and other unknown gun men which have been destroying properties, killing and kidnapping people. However, there are places that seem to be under attack often.

1. Borno
Borno is located in the North-Eastern region of Nigeria; its capital is Maiduguri. This state is listed among the most dangerous states in Nigeria because it has being the target for the Islamist group called ‘Boko Haram’ and some even call it their home.
Severally, there have being attacks in this state for example; 2013 Baga massacre, Kawuri massacre January 2014, Konduga massacre February 2014, Gamboru Ngala massacre May 2014, Gwoza massacre June 2014, Baga massacre 2015, Koshebe massacre 2020. Although, this group also have footholds in Chad, Niger and Cameroun.

Over the years there have being death, property destruction, abduction of innocent students amongst other criminal activity. This situation has caused terror in this state and has been a ‘no-go’ area for several people. All these reasons are what makes Borno among the top 5 Most Dangerous States in Nigeria.
2. Adamawa
Adamawa is mentioned on the list because it is also one of the most dangerous states in Nigeria. It is located in the North-Eastern region of Nigeria. On May 14 2013, President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in this state due to the attacks by the Jihadist group named Boko Haram. Asides Boko Haram there have been several cases of ethnic clash.
The various cases of attacks in this state and its capital are; 2012 Boko Haram attack on Christians and church in Yola, attack Boko haram attack in Mubi 2018, Kuda attack 2019, Magdali village attack 2020, among many others.
3. Yobe
Yobe state is also located at the North-Eastern region of Nigeria. This state was carved out of Borno State and its capital is Damaturu. On 14 May 2013, President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in Yobe State along with nearby states; Borno and Adamawa, due to the jihadist terrorist network Boko Haram’s insurgency.
Places of attack are; Damaturu attack 2011, Yobe State school shooting 2013, Gujba college massacre 2013, Federal Government College Buni Yadi attack 2014, Boko Haram attack January 2021, Armed group attack May 2021, etc.
4. Bauchi
Bauchi state is located in North-East Nigeria. It is one of the country’s main cotton-producing states; coffee and peanuts (groundnuts) are the other cash crops. Livestock like Cattle, goats, and sheep are also raised here. Bauchi was formed in the year 1976, it originated from Gombe state.
The Jihadist group, Boko Haram has been terrorizing this state and there have been several communal violence. Few cases of attacks in this state are; Boko Haram attack 2009, Religious crisis 2009, Communal crisis in Tafawa Balewa 2010, Herdsmen farmers crisis 2021, etc.

5. Kaduna
Kaduna is a state in the North-Western region of Nigeria. This area is a major trade center and agricultural area. The presence of industries and mineral resources has led to a rapid urbanization since 2005.
Kaduna is popularly known as the center of learning, as evident from the numerous educational institutions located in the state. However, there have been several communal crisis and kidnapping in this state over the years.
Southern and Northern Kaduna are always at war. For example, 2000 Kaduna riots, 2002 inter-religious attack, April 2012 Kaduna bombings, February 2019 Kajuru LGA attack, Inter-religious attack October 2019, Fulani herdsmen attack in Kajuru 4th, 10th and 26th February 2019, etc.
