National Association of Resident Doctors threaten strike starting from March 31st because the Government has refused to compensate the families of Doctors who died of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\nThis allegation is confirmed by the National President of NARD, Dr Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi despite N500bn released by the Federal Government<\/a> for COVID-19 response.<\/p>\n

There is little wonder why Doctors threaten strike starting from March 31st. It’s almost a year since Boss Mustapha (Chairman of Presidential Task force on COVID-19) spoke about life insurance for health workers, he said;<\/p>\n

In recognition of the danger to which our frontline health workers are exposed to, government is working with other stakeholders to structure medical and life insurance cover for their protection.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, since the money has been released Doctors are wondering why the life insurance is not yet disbursed to the deceased families.<\/p>\n
